Up In Minnesota

Well Minnesota has an exotic lifestyle Blazing Summers and Freezing Winters....... But behind that here are some facts you may haven't known about the state,

That little thing digging up into Canada, it was a accidental mishap making the United States though its like that, most of it is water so its not even like its there!

Recently a bridge collapsed and several nations got news and aired it on radio TV e.t.c.

One year, Halloween was token up to top notch extreme proportions with broken windows, T.P.ed houses, death Exploded cars that year was just unbelievable-- and much more. Which it made it called one of its nicknames" The Halloween Capital".

Now for Storytellersrus, yes i thank you for telling me about the Rockies and its exotic lifestyle there's is not much difference but it has A rich place for growing crops, as it is by the corn belt and bread bowl and soy belt "Soy Joy" so it gives several main grains. Bread, Corn, Beans. Soy. and others like Fertilizer,Milk Cheese. but there are also many good resources like it has the worlds deepest inland water area like Duluth is a bordering town the edges with Lake Superior Minnesota and slightly with Wisconsin. Its Summer can almost ALWAYS goes over 105 degrees at least 3 time per summer! It also has a reputation for having Halloween a little more "extreme" than any other state in the US. I guess. from some documents it has a different reputation. You May Have seen the History Channel Documentary.

It Has Many Mines up on the North of it. They collect Iron Minerals and the popular Coal. So Economy may not be the worst thing for this state except i guess building houses for ( Architects, Bricklayers, ETC)

The Sheer Beauty of this land is great and rich with history such as the very important "RuneStone" that can declare the Vikings were One of the old pioneers of this land. it is a rectangular boulder that has Norwegian language written on 3 sides of the stone. When Translated it was a Story of a Man Coming to bring back Bear meat and animal skin for his Comrades in Minnesota He Comes In and His Comrades are all dead on the floor with tomahawks left stabbed in their corpses on the table their was the sign of the Great Plains Indians that must have Killed them for them stealing their food supply. the Stone is currently in Alexandria,MN in a museum called the Runestone Museum.

Fishing is one of the beloved things of this state the lakes are flooded with fish not one lake you will see in Minnesota will Have no Ice Houses fishing holes Ice fishers or boats on it.Walleye are a high level food supply their taste is almost like a delicacy.Northern are the mama jam mas for tournaments their bill shaped moths and Fat long bodies are like a eel but they are the wallops of Minnesota.

The Place that shows the Minnesotan Beauty is in a small town called Rockville it is built on one of the biggest Granite mines in the country with a gaping chasm i haven't seen the end of in school you can hear barrels of dynamite blowing up the chasm and Granite hills. But that's not what i am talking about. It is a Small path that is near the Rockville Christian and Lutheran Church. it leads you too a uncommon thing-- a waterfall a Small one ( About 10 feet. ) plumbits hard in the summer and in the winter it freezes and you see frozen fish froze falling in the waterfall. A True unknown Landmark Hidden to the rest of the world even more Surprising than a sparkling mountain-water waterfall with a Rainbow Going over like a bridge over it.The Largest Granite stones are on Earth level that were never moved the stone is cracked in half and you can walk through it like a cave almost you can stand on top of them and jump 6-feet across to the next side.East of it lies probably the biggest Bald eagle nest in Minnesota. 12 feet by 9 feet it held more than a family of 3 separate eagles worked together to build it.......

A Hidden, forgotten, unseen, Never talked about true Minnesota Landmark--And Many More.

How do you like Minnesota ?

Uzamaki, thank you for this insight into your Minnesota experience. I love this state. It's people are hardy and intelligent as well as kind- mostly. I used to fish for walleye around the area you described, at Lake of the Woods. And also I canoed in the Boundary Waters up there. The call of a loon and their huge size are two surprises I experienced when I was up there canoeing around for a month. Your lake at Alexandria is also beautiful. Do you waterski or swim or dive? You have to like the water to survive in Minnesota, right?!!!

Well yea I guess that would be right!

And no I would like to,I really havent had all that time to do all of those fun things because my brother and sister don't behave very well with me so until they start acting mature i can't really do that stuff well for an example this computer is fragile and my brother is fighting about that he was being blamed but i am just saying not to walk on this cord that kept the computer to work and my mom says to drop it but my brother won't stay quiet and yapping about being blamed so yea but besides that......

And I was amazed at what you said how come they really suprised you they arent really that big ( unless birds are tiny cause i havent really explored the world ) and the loon has a strange call to you, I guess as a Minnesotan really can't tell the difference lol......

Brothers and sisters can be difficult, I agree. My big brother always called me Woodie Woodpecker after the cartoon character, because I had orange hair. My little sister scrunched my forearm so hard that it got wrinkly and red. I think siblings are meant to challenge us. It's a bonding process, lol.

Once my brother was babysitting us and my sister stuck herself with a lead pencil. Craig had just learned about lead poisoning that very day in school and was panicked that the poison from the pencil tip would go into her blood and kill her before our parents got home. He took a sharp, clean knife and scraped the mark so it bled- -my remembrance anyway. Then he began to suck out the blood and spit it into a trash can! This was the moment I realized my brother kind of loved us after all. My sister was fine-- it turned out that the lead in pencils isn't poisonous. But she still has a mark on her arm from his good intentions!

Yeah once my sister fell into the ice at my grandmas house in the winter a few years ago, I jumped about 1 and a third second after she fell i grabed her and spent and half an hour grabbing her and barely keeping out of the ice well my dad came and got her out and found out the ice was about a few inches deep, but then again my sister still would have freaked out because i told her about hyperthomia and frostbite, so yea!

I guess they do have a bonding process but were not always spick and span at trusting eah other!

Uzamaki, did you add to this? I learned some new things. Maybe I forgot that I had learned them awhile ago? Anyway, I love this hub. I wasn't aware that the Runestone had been translated into such a sad story. Those are my ancestors, as you know, lol.

I am thrilled that you are back online. I missed you!
