Who Tobi Really is in the Akatsuki
64Tobi is known to be funny, dim, and can survive fatal blows, well here are some other stuff , first his real name isnt Tobi its Madara Uchia he had summoned the Ninetails to deastroy the hidden leaf village. Like all Uchcia, he has a Sharingan, but since he is a warlord he has the Mangeyko Sharingan to be one of his Deadly Arsenals most of his techniges are unknown he has black hair and wears a mask over his face to make him even more odd, he also has a strange way of speech, his favorite sentance is '' Tobi is a good boy '' which is awkward to other people hearing that. He is an official member after Sasori being killed by it makes a opening and he needs a ring, which he takes from the dead hand of Sasori with Zetsu Following, he was assinged to Devour all dead Akatsuki he finds it and he puts it on his right thumb and becomes an Official member now he really is a funny person to know in Naruto Shippuden, mostly everyone thinks his annoyance is bad but Kisame thinks he is a nice person to brighten the Akatsuki. Now I have found a secret and shocking news, first Madara have summpned Ninetslis or Kyuubi, well, here is something he summoned it and then took control of it with his Mangeyko Sharingan then tried to destroy it cause he was angry about not being a Hokage or leader findind it, yep he did discover Kohanagakure or The Hidden Leaf Village then as the story went he lost. Then second He created the Akatsuki I do not know how he did but since he later joined it as Tobi he must have done something to do that. and Pain, the current leader has him like a right hand man of the Aktasuki's leader Pain, or Nagato. After the leaders death by sacrifice to restore all hes damaged. He now is unknown to all who question. There are 4 different Possiblities of his true identedy, Obito, Madara, The Leader of the Villiage of the Rain Undercover and forgotten, or someone Much, Much, More Unknown, and possibly more powerful than any ninja can imagine....... So dont screw with Tobi cause Hes no Good Boy.

well i don't buy that tobi is uchiha madara i think hes uchiha obito. heres my arguement: 1. their hair may be black but it isn't long. tobi's hair matches obito's. 2. uchiha madara doesn't look like he likes to kid-around. 3. he says he has the POWER of madara. why would tobi want to talk to him self in 3rd person. 4. madara doesn't wear orange tobi does and obito did (note: i say did because obito's suposed to be dead). 5. now it gets interesting, most people don't catch this. but tobi and obito have somewhat the same name, i say this because japan's former capital was kyoto and the new capital is tokyo. Well first that was a mouthful and i did get that but 1. he is the founder of Akatsuki and there plan is to get the Tails so dont you think it adds up that since he failed at the ninth he would get a team to get the rest. and number 2. this is proof he has the Mangeyko and that is only possible if you are a Uchiha and his right eye hole contains that. and how would he know that madara took his brothers eye to replace his own after he went blind after the fight with Kyuubi? theres my proof and also it could just be a quincedence
"Tobi" is Uchiha Madara. Read the manga. Madara is also really the "mastermind" behind Akatsuki. Also, Pein is defeated by Naruto and dies in the latest chapter, but Pein also dies on good terms with Naruto and brings back all the people he killed in Konoha, leaving his dream of a world without war and hatred to Naruto.

This is my own theory about Tobi. He's a reincarnated Obito with the soul of Madara with the help of Orochimaru's reincarnation jutsu. And Tobi said in chapter 510 that he wasn't defeated by the leader of the Senju clan, Harashima Senju. He just copied the jutsus of the Harashima to be more like the Sixpath. Due time passed, his body also aged and the time arrived that he needs a new body. This is the part where Orochimaru worked with him and because of that experiment, Orochimaru gained access to the DNA of the Senjus. The experiment, Tobi without knowing, resulted to the incomplete form of Harashima, Capt. Yamato.
Are you not wondering why Tobi has a mask with 1 hole? And turned to be at the right where 1 of Obito's Sharingan was left. And the left was with Kakashi. And my explanation to Tobi's weird attitude is the reincarnation jutsu used to Obito's body was not yet mastered by Orochimaru and resulted to his 2 personalities.
He was called the Mizukage because he once controlled the Mizukage where he introduced himself to Kisame.
And in the end, Sasuke will have gain the new eternal sharingan due to the transplant of his brother's eye which would cost a battle between Tobi and Sasuke. Their battle will cost Tobi's one more eye(one is lost between the battle of Tobi and Konan) by using Izanagi one more time. And Sasuke gained all access to Tobi's abilities including the tailed beasts and Harashima's abilities.

Acctualy if you watch an episode of the kakashi chronicles you will see obito gave his left eye to Kakashi because the other was crushed. That means only one eye works, which would be on his left side. Tobi has a hole in his mask that is on his right side, but Obito's eye was crushed on the right side so he cant see! That means Obito isn't Tobi. However, there can be a probability that he's his son. They both are Uchihas after all.

But, could it be:
1. the madara's brother becoz madara did not kill his brother. as for someone who have experienced how to awaken mangekyou sharingan plus they are the leader of the uchiha clan, there are many stock of a good eyes and it need a little more plan but a long time to accomplish certain purpose, first maybe he will fight back madara or second since he know madara want the title of hokage but madara failed, he might want to make madara's dream become true.

For tobi to know about the 10th tail which is the origin of all 9 tails, could it be the son of the sage of the sixth path which have the power of uchiha as tobi was said that he always be defeated with the one who inherited the senju bloodline.. then again if you recall when tobi fought with konan, he mentioned to konan that as konan was a former ally, he reveal that she got to know further history and he tell about the sage of the sixth path. after all, he know much the history of sage of sixth path. then again, he wished he was the one who could unified the world, but the sage of sixth path choose the senju one, he might want to prove that the idea of his father was originally true.

tobi must be someone with have experience the great eye. if you recall, there are several people with great eye.
1. the older son of sage of sixth path which inherited the uchiha bloodline.
2. uchiha madara and his brother who was the first to awaken mangekyou sharingan.
3. uchiha shishui, but he was long dead and one of his eye, he gave it to itachi that itachi implanted it on a crow which then itachi gave it to naruto, and the other one was stolen by danzo.
4. Uchiha itachi and uchiha sasuke.

I would say that orochimaru revived obito after the incident, and when obito went to akatsuki to fullfill his plans, orochimaru quit from akatsuki, and wanted to kill them all, it is somewhat logical.
OR Orochimaru saved him, and trained him, he learned the body stealing technique from orochimaru, and went to an older body, and transplanted his eye from his old body to his new one, and thats why he looks older, and thats why he is only a "shadow of the old himself" And when nagato died, he said "nagato was supposed to use that technique on me" When he meant for the reviving technique, so maybe he would have revived his old body, so he would be young, and powerful again.
its danzo he's had control of izanagi for years... it wouldnt be that difficult to have used a powerful clone technique to feign a fight against sasuke to "kill" himself and once he had the rinnengan he had 3 of the mightiest bloodlines to exist allowing him control over time/space/etc. so tell me do you really think tobi is madara since he was JUST shown to be dead or obito who was 15 when naruto was born? which means he FOUGHT THE FOURTH HOKAGE when naruto was being born... what 15 year old believes they are so powerful they can take down a man who ended a war by himself? so point is TOBI cannot be madara or obito BUT shisui would have been an option had DANZO not stolen the eye that tobi keeps revealed when his mask is on...

Tobi cannot be Madara, since he's been resummoned to life, but he cannot be obito either... since the fourth has fought tobi, and obito would have been too young then. Either it is danzo, which i dont think is possible, or madara's brother, but madara took both of his eyes, so I don't know what is going on.

Read the lastest manga and you can see that tobi isn't Madara. He could be obito or not, but he is definitely not madara.
In my opinion its Sauske's dad, seeing how he would be around the right age and was leading the coup d'etat. And his dad's power is unknown. Could have been an illusion his death. But the only information I have leading this theory is him leading the coup d'etat

I think its uchiha obito because when obito apparently died, he gave his left sharingan to hatake kakashi, leaving him with only one sharingan, which is in obito's right eye, and tobi, the mask only shows one sharingan which is placed in his right eye.

it still is possible for tobi to be obito because the third great ninja war which was also the time when obito "died" happened before the kyuubi attacked the hidden leaf. but it wont explain how he knows madaras history and all those. its possible that it is obitos body but the mind of madara or someone else who was there when al those history happened such as izuna. but we will really never know whats in the writers mind. who knows tobi could be Chuck Norris..if thats the case then they are all dead. they wont stand a chance he would project his dick in the sun and his ass on the moon and put everyone in a genjutsu.

Tobi is Obito. There are many reasons justifying this statement such as when Kakashi was given his sharingan, Obito gave him his left eye. Secondly, when Tobi appears in the manga he wears a mask with one eye hole and his LEFT eye is covered. Most people wouldn't see this but ironically later on in the series he has a transplant in his left eye with the rinnegan. That is when he started wearing a mask with three wholes. Not quite sure what this may lead too; maybe Obito hopes to unlock another eye such Negi's byukugan.

yea~ me either, i just read in the comics tht "tobi" wanted to start war and he did, with kabuto's help he revived ninjas from the dead for example : itachi,deidara,sasori,kakuzu,nagato and many more... there was this body tht kabuto showed him in chapter 490 and he was shocked but they dint show it until some chapters later the five kage's of different village teamed up to fight this person : uchiha madara... so yea tht was the body kabuto showed it to tobi.. to bi is some freaking mysteruious guy and definitely isnt madara

All of the assumptions are pretty good, but my opinion is this. I think tobi's true identity is a Madara clone. In one point of time with the true uchiha madara was fatally wonded from the battle between him and the first and would not last very long, so in order for his legacy, his plan to carry on was to transfer all of his memories and abilities to a perfect, working clone which is Tobi. You might think its absurd, but really think about it, Hirashima, the first hokage has a million zetsus which are Hirashima's clones running around the place, so why not. Not only that in one chapter the real Madara didn't freak out, when the five kages said there was another him running around the place. Speculate all you want, I think Tobi is definitly a Madara clone.

This message contains spoilers (to an extent) It is not Obito, the entire right side of Obito's body was destroyed by the boulder that crushed him, a kekaigenkai (not sure on exact spelling for the word) cannot be salvaged if damaged as well as during any scene you see any part of Tobi's face you see he is extremely old, around Danzo's age, two, when tobi/masked man fights konan, third member of the original 3 students jiraiya taught, it showed tobi using izanagi, and his SECOND EYE closes, so he had two sharingans, one hidden under the mask, to which he replaced with the renningan. That brings me to my first theory it is possible Tobi is the descendant of the first uchiha sibling who inherited the renningan, killed an uchiha, or multiple to recieve two sharingans, to which he afterwards gave the renningan to nagato/Pain, which he claimed the renningan was originally his during the fight with konan. Option two for Tobi's real identity, Kagami Uchiha, look him up, the third hokage, and Danzo originally were all on a team of 6, during the fight against the nine tails/masked man vs. Fourth Hokage, it shows 4 or 5 members present at the fight right after they drove the kyuubi out of the village, all 6 were elite ninja and Kagami was the only Uchiha on this same team, There is not however, a lot of information about Kagami Uchiha. It was believed he was killed along with all other Uchiha by Itachi and Tobi. With the fact Tobi was there for the massacre it makes enough sense to also claim Kagami as the man behind the mask as Itachi would have had to know some way of contacting someone who was willing to massacre his entire clan, to which both Itachi goes rogue, and Kagami assumes the persona of Tobi, as he had possibly done for years, it is shown that Itachi does not however reveal any information of Tobi's identity, the reason I believe tobi was there is that Itachi knew how to contact him, and therefore knew the secret behind the mask, that and amaretsu activated when Tobi had attempted to show Sasuke his face way back after the defeat of Itachi and the hideout. However, i believe that Tobi/Kagami would have had to of done what danzo did to Sai, and placed a cursed mark on Itachi for obvious reasons of staying off the radar. I honestly prefer my first one, but yeah, this second one could have a little bit of pull, also apologize for grammar and incorrect spelling :P
There is another theory my friend had, I didn't like it for purpose of story but still, tell me what you think, apparently the Tsuchikage, or his teacher created some sort of personality split jutsu or something of the sorts to create two beings of one person, but both of which would lose an immense amount of their own power. If you recall in the manga Tobi says he is "nobody" and "only a shell of my former self", there is still the off chance this jutsu is the answer and it really could be in all intent and purpose, just a weaker copy of Madara that just happens to be alive still. This could also explain why both the reanimated Madara, and Tobi have one Renningan, and sharingan, as well as similar behavior.
It is not Madara Uchiha because he was ressurected and when Kabuto, revived itach nagato sasori and deidara there was one more u couldnt see it but tobi was shocked ,

Well i think that madara is the sage of six paths son. Because he said that the rinnegan was his but gave to nagato, meaning the he was the sage's son born with the "eyes". If you read manga and watch the anime, you will pick up more facts than usual.
In the manga (its a few chapters before the latest chapter) kabuto uses the edo tensei to bring the real uchiha madara back to life. Madara fights the five kages (he is smashing them by the way), and at the same time, naruto, bee, kakashi, and gai/guy (can't spell it) are fighting the masked man (i do not know who he is; maybe obito or even shisui). while that is happening, sasuke and itachi (he was brought back to life and he countered the juts that was controlling him) vs kabuto sage mode.
Thats right, three fights that will determine the result of this war.
anyway, tobi can not be madara, as he has been resurrected by the eco tensei . he probably can't be izuna, cus his eyes were plucked from him, and he died anyway. it may be obito cus a boulder crushed half of his body, but how could he still talk? he was probably stuck, so this could mean he awakened his mongekyu (can't spell) and get rid of the rock and became tobi. that is highly unlikely, but it could happen.
Another theory is the tobi is a madara clone (like zetsu).
This is why when toreno (can't spell) used his nano bugs on him, tobi had to pull his arm off, then white stuff spilled out. this theory is probably the most likely out go my suggestions, but if you want to know who the masked man really is, then you should just wait and see
